Smart Barn Sensors
Smart Barn’s line of monitoring sensors is comprehensive, covering every area you need to be aware of on your farm. Below is a brief explanation of the capabilities of each of our sensors.
Smart Barn wireless temperature sensors can be used to track the temperature in your barn or send an alarm if the temperature gets too high. A temperature spike could indicate that the ventilation has failed; an important thing to know as livestock can suffocate within a short amount of time. Dairy bulk tanks also require precise monitoring, and we supply our sensors with a variety of custom probes that allow you to manage and track your dairy products and other tanks or storage. The permanent data record ensures regulatory compliance, and allows you to generate historical charts and reports.
This sensor is versatile, and can be used for a wide variety of applications. The power in your barn can be monitored, and alerts can be set depending on the voltage. If a power outage occurs, the sensor will send an alert and notify you immediately that there’s a problem. It can also monitor generators, motors, and the operation of any other powered equipment. You can check Smart Barn’s data log to see if your generator ran its test, or monitor the operation of motors and augers on your grain dryer.
Smart Barn’s dry contact sensor is multi-purpose, and lets you easily monitor any alarm or switch output. You can connect the dry contact sensor to relays, door contacts, motion sensor outputs, thermostat and controller alarms, and generator alarms.
Smart Barn’s wireless pulse counter lets you monitor the outputs of water meters and power meters. Attach the sensor to the pulse output of any pulse water meter, or pulse kWh meter, and you’ll be able to track your power and water usage. You can also set an alert, and immediately receive a notification if a pipe bursts and the water usage is too high. You can track the amount of water you’ve used in your greenhouse, or in your irrigation system, and receive an alert if the system fails to operate at the right time.
Smart Barn’s Analog 0-20mA current sensor is capable of measuring the current of another device or sensor up to 20 milliamps (DC) by connecting the leads on the sensor to the positive and ground terminals of the device being measured.
Smart Barn’s water meter measures the amount of water you are using in different places on your farm. The pulse output feature allows you to use it with Smart Barn's wireless pulse counter to track your water usage and receive alerts if a pipe bursts and your water usage is too high.
The Smart Barn wireless door sensor provides information on the status of doors, windows, cabinets, etc. Know if a specific building or area is being accessed when it should not be, or if a door or window has been left open.
The Smart Barn wireless humidity sensor allows you to monitor the relative humidity (RH) within a room or enclosure. It measures relative humidity, temperature and dew point with high accuracy.
Ultrasonic Liquid Level Sensor
The liquid level sensor lets you measure fuel levels, water levels, pit levels, and any other liquid usage, so you can track your inventory in real-time, and receive alerts when you need to reorder or take action.
All of these sensors are wirelessly monitored using a wireless cellular gateway. The data is uploaded to our cloud-based server, and you can view the status any time of the day or night. Smart Barn’s wireless sensors are a reliable, affordable solution for your monitoring needs.
